Profile

Background

Building resilient financial technology infrastructure means balancing high transaction speed against strict security compliance and zero system downtime, and Florian holds all three at once. From Munich he directs global technical vision, enterprise cloud architecture and the engineering teams behind the banking products this platform runs across Europe.

The architecture work is low-latency transaction pipelines, distributed databases and event-driven microservices designed for continuous uptime. The compliance work sits in the same layers rather than beside them: PCI DSS Level 1, the PSD2 banking protocols and GDPR security requirements are enforced across every software layer, not bolted on at the edge.

He also builds the engineering organisation itself, structuring modern DevOps practice, automated CI and CD pipelines and cross-functional squads so product delivery accelerates without loosening any of that. The stack he works in is Go, Java with Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform and Docker.

Areas covered
